Physical (Space) Science
Physical Science is a Freshman course that will help students develop necessary knowledge and skills to examine the physical nature of the Universe around us in the context of the science of astronomy. Some of the topics we will cover are:
- Questions and concepts that guide scientific investigations
- How we view and measure stars
- The creation and life cycle of stars
- The structure of atoms
- The incredible forces that power stars
- The force and effect of gravity on all objects of the Universe, especially planetary motion in solar systems
